Krabi is a province in southern Thailand with an area of about 47000 km². The landscape is probably the most spectacular in Thailand. Famous places like the Phi Phi Islands, Koh Lanta, Ao Nang and Railay Beach belong to the province of Krabi.

Most of the expats stay either in or near Krabi Town or in the area near Ao Nang where you can find plenty of accomdation in form of small houses and apartments for a long term rental.

As everywhere in Thailand, this longterm rental objects are not located near the beach but about 2 km away and a little outside of the tourist centers.

Prices for a small house around Krabi an Ao Nang start at about 5000,- Baht per month up to 15.000 Baht and more. A lot of apartment houses and condos are still under construction in 2015 so there will be even more accomodation available in the near future.

Krabi Town has a Tesco Lotus Super Mall, a Macro Super Market, a BigC Supermarket with a Home Pro appliances store under one roof as well as plenty of smaller furniture, appliances and hardware stores. Motorbike Shops and Car Centers for new and used cars are also available.

Krabi also has an International Airport with daily domestic flights to Bangkok, Koh Samui and Chiang Mai. International flights go to Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Penang in Malaysia as well as flights to cities in China, Russia and Scandinavia.

After all, Krabi is a very convenient place for foreigners to stay in Thailand.
